Criminal Case Launched Against Vardan Oskanian's Son

The newspaper "Haykakan Zhamanak" reports: According to the information from the newspaper, a criminal case has been initiated in the Republic of Armenia's Investigative Committee regarding the actions of Ara Oskanian, the son of former Minister of Foreign Affairs Vardan Oskanian, on charges of fraud.

Specifically, according to the information we received, Oskanian's son sold property that was under arrest, and a report was submitted to law enforcement about the crime, which named Ara Oskanian.

Of course, this is not the first time that Vardan Oskanian's son has come under the radar of law enforcement. Let us recall that on February 17, 2017, Ara Oskanian, 33, and Hrant Seradyan, 25, were arrested by the investigator of the Kotayk Regional Investigation Department of the RA Investigative Committee. They were suspected of kidnapping a citizen to demand the repayment of a debt, but the case was later dismissed.

Notably, in this case, the former head of the National Assembly, Hovik Abrahamyan's house, which was under arrest, was bought by the newly emerged businessman Narek Nalbandyan, and moreover, he paid in installments; however, law enforcement punished neither the seller nor the buyer.
