Robert F. Kennedy Jr. Announces Candidacy for Presidential Election
Robert F. Kennedy Jr., the nephew of John F. Kennedy, has announced today that he will run as a Democratic candidate in the 2024 elections.
"I am here to announce my candidacy for the Democratic Party nomination for president," Kennedy said in Boston. "My mission is to end the corrupt merger of state and corporate power during the next 18 months of this campaign and throughout my presidency," he added.
American media reminds that the 69-year-old Robert F. Kennedy Jr. is an environmental lawyer and a vaccine-safety activist. He is the son of former New York Senator and U.S. Attorney General Robert F. Kennedy and the nephew of 35th President John F. Kennedy. Kennedy is the second registered Democratic candidate for the presidency; earlier, author Marianne Williamson had launched her campaign for the Democratic nomination. The current White House leader, Joe Biden, has yet to officially announce his candidacy for the presidential election.
