NATO Must Beg Ukraine to Join the Alliance, Ukrainian Ambassador

NATO must beg Ukraine to become a member of the North Atlantic Alliance. This position was expressed by Ukraine's ambassador to the United Kingdom, Vadym Prystaiko, in an interview with the American magazine Newsweek.

According to him, the only goal of NATO is to fight against Russia. At the same time, the diplomat pointed out that Kyiv has 'one million armed men' for this purpose.

“If you want to have someone who is not only ready but also knows how to do it, ask Ukraine. Beg them to become part of your alliance,” he urged.

Earlier, in one of his interviews, Prystaiko expressed regret over the 'unhealthy obsession' with Ukraine's Armed Forces' spring counteroffensive that exists both within the country and in the West. The ambassador also expressed concern that if 'something goes wrong,' Kyiv may begin to be persuaded to negotiate with Moscow and acknowledge the loss of Crimea.
