Chairman of the Artsakh National Assembly's Defense and Security Committee Resigns
Seiran Hayrapetyan, a member of the Artsakh National Assembly, has submitted his resignation from the position of chairman of the permanent commission on defense, security, and law enforcement of the National Assembly. This was announced today, on April 19, by the speaker of the Artsakh National Assembly, Arthur Tovmasyan.
The announcement states: "In accordance with part 1 of Article 129 of the 'Regulations of the National Assembly' law, National Assembly member Seiran Hayrapetyan has submitted his resignation from the position of chairman of the permanent commission on defense, security, and law enforcement of the National Assembly."
According to part 2 of Article 129 of the 'Regulations of the National Assembly' law, if within a week after the announcement of resignation, the relevant official withdraws their resignation request in writing, the National Assembly speaker will make a statement regarding this matter. If the resignation request is not withdrawn, a record of the cessation of their powers will be prepared, which will be signed and published by the National Assembly speaker. From the moment of publication of the record, the resignation is considered accepted.
