Yerevan Flour Mill Company to Be Fined 1.5 to 2 Million Drams

The Yerevan Flour Mill Company will be fined between 1.5 to 2 million drams. The demolition permit had expired, yet the company continued to carry out its work, said Yakov Asatryan, head of the municipal construction and land control department.

It is noteworthy that on April 1, during the demolition of the bunker at 2 Nar-Dos Street, debris fell onto the metro tracks, leading to a suspension of metro services.

Previously, it was reported that a criminal case has been initiated regarding the collapse incident on the metro tracks. The case has been opened under Article 264, Part 2, Clause 6 of the Criminal Code (causing particularly significant property damage is punishable by imprisonment for a term of three to six years). He also stated that according to reports, the demolition work also damaged a nearby toy warehouse. The property owner has suffered significant losses. The criminal case was also initiated based on this circumstance.
