Death Toll from Armed Clashes in Sudan Exceeds 80, Over 1200 Injured

More than 80 people have been killed and over 1200 injured since the outbreak of clashes in Sudan on April 13. Most of the fighting is taking place in the capital, Khartoum, where armed forces are clashing with Rapid Support Forces. The opposing sides have issued conflicting statements.

It is worth noting that disagreements related to military security reforms, which aim to fully integrate the Rapid Support Forces into the Armed Forces, have resulted in fierce conflict between the two power structures. According to the Sudanese Central Committee of Doctors, clashes have also occurred in several other cities across the eastern African country.
