Trump and Musk Invited to Crimea
The Chairman of the Crimean Parliament, Vladimir Konstantinov, has invited former U.S. President Donald Trump and American businessman Elon Musk to visit the peninsula. This was reported by RIA Novosti.
“We are ready to invite Elon Musk so that he can see everything on the ground. I am confident that if Trump wants to come to us, we will welcome him. He will arrive as one man and leave as another. And many issues will be resolved differently after his visit,” he stated.
In October 2022, Musk proposed his plan for a peaceful resolution to the conflict in Ukraine. In particular, he called for Crimea to be recognized as Russian territory and for referendums to be held under UN supervision in regions recently annexed by Russia. The businessman’s statements caused significant uproar.
Later, Bloomberg reported that Musk's stance on Crimea had become a problem for the White House. The entrepreneur also warned Ukraine that attempts to seize Crimea could have serious consequences.
