"I learned about this from a letter by Serzh Sargsyan, which is preserved in the archive under a top-secret classification". Pashinyan
Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan has responded to accusations that Armenian-Russian relations worsened after the 2018 revolution. Pashinyan recalled that during the previous authorities' term from 2011 to 2021, Russia signed multi-billion dollar arms deals with Azerbaijan for the first time. "So, how were they maintaining such good relations? What did they do?" he questioned.
According to Pashinyan, at the same time, during that period, Russia severely limited arms supplies to Armenia. "I did not learn this from anywhere else; I learned it from a letter written by Serzh Sargsyan in 2016, which, unlike other documents, is preserved in the archive under a top-secret classification. This is one of the few preserved documents. What did they do? They should clarify," he stated.
He also spoke about the current state of Armenian-Russian relations, noting that the dynamics are evident. "We see the dynamics, and we also see the problems that exist," he added.
