During the evening hours from 19:00 to 23:00 yesterday, gunfire was reported in the direction of the Sotk mine. This was announced to Tert.am by the GPM Gold company.

“The situation was calm during the night, and there was no evacuation. Following the gunfire in the evening, mining operations were temporarily suspended. In the morning, gunfire resumed, prompting the decision to halt activities at the mine and evacuate employees. We are keeping the mine operations suspended as the situation is changing hour by hour. Currently, the situation is calm, and there are no gunshots,” the company reported.
