Soldier Sustains Head Injury from Shot Below the Jaw: Investigative Committee

A criminal case has been initiated under the article of attempted negligent suicide of a soldier during combat duty.

Previously, the Ministry of Defense reported that Private H. S. had sustained a gunshot wound from his service rifle at a combat position, according to preliminary data. His condition is assessed as serious.

In connection with the incident, a criminal proceeding has been initiated at the ninth garrison investigative department of the Military Investigative Main Department of the Republic of Armenia Investigative Committee under the third part of Article 522 of the RA Criminal Code.

Necessary and urgent investigative and procedural actions are being carried out to clarify the circumstances of the case.
