Floods in Chernihiv Region: Evacuations Possible
The largest flooding event in the last decade has occurred in Ukraine's Chernihiv region. Several towns and villages are reported to have been flooded due to rising water levels in the rivers.
According to reports, the most critical situation is currently at the Dnieper River. If water levels continue to rise, 22 localities housing over 4,000 people are at risk of flooding. At this moment, seven localities have already been inundated.
If the situation worsens, evacuation of residents may become necessary, stated the head of the administration, Vyacheslav Chaus.
