Explosion-Fire in a Vehicle on Ashtarak Highway: Hospitalization Confirmed

On April 14, at 00:13, the Kotayk Regional Crisis Management Center received a report about an explosion of a vehicle near the gas station at the beginning of Prowshyan village, with smoke visible in the area.

A firefighting team was dispatched from the Ministry of Emergency Situations Rescue Service in Yerevan, along with an operational group from the National Crisis Management Center.

It was determined that on Ashtarak Highway, at the beginning of Prowshyan village, an explosion occurred in a "Hyundai Tucson" (driver: A.K., born in 1990) resulting in a fire outbreak. The vehicle veered off the roadway and slid approximately 3 meters into the nearby ravine.

Before the rescuers arrived, the fire was extinguished by local inhabitants. The interior of the vehicle was partially burned. The driver was hospitalized with burns at the National Institute of Burns. Rescuers also disconnected the vehicle's power supply.
