Free Museum Admission for Children Under 12 Starting May 1
Starting May 1, children under 12 will have free access to permanent exhibitions at museums and memorial museums operating under the Ministry of Education, Science, Culture and Sports of Armenia. This information comes from the ministry's Facebook page.
The new regulation is based on a decree from Minister of Education, Science, Culture and Sports Zhanna Andreasyan dated April 11.
It is also noted that new ticket prices for excursions with explanations in Armenian and foreign languages have been established for permanent exhibitions at museums and memorial museums.
It is worth mentioning that there are 21 museums operating under the purview of the Ministry of Education, Science, Culture and Sports.
Additionally, the program for the "Implementation of the School Subscription System" is in effect. According to this program, each student is entitled to visit one cultural institution—museum, theater, or concert hall—free of charge once during the academic year.
