Parents of Fallen Soldiers Breach Armenian Checkpoint in Tegh Village

Parents of soldiers who fell during the 44-day war have breached the Armenian checkpoint in Tegh village of Syunik Province. This was reported to NEWS.am by Naira Melikyan, the mother of a fallen soldier.

"It was the first Armenian checkpoint where we were not allowed to pass, but we managed to break through. After that, a new Azerbaijani outpost was placed on a hill that watches over our road," said Melikyan.

She noted that they have now returned to Tegh village: "They did not allow us to go to Lisagor."

It is important to mention that on March 31, the parents of the fallen soldiers had gathered at the Yerablur military pantheon and intended to march to Syunik. They expressed their desire to clarify how the Azerbaijani military invaded the sovereign territory of the Republic of Armenia and why the Berdzor corridor remains blocked until now.
