VIDEO: How Police Arrest Kazakh Protesters

Footage has emerged on social media showing the arrest of citizens who took to the streets in Kazakhstan to protest.

It should be noted that on the night of April 12, there was unrest in the cities of Zhanaozen and Aktau. Thousands of people organized protests in support of the employees of the Zhanaozen oil company who had been dismissed from their jobs, and subsequently taken to police stations after the protests.

The protesters demanded the release of the detainees, but were accused of obstructing traffic and were also apprehended.

According to previously circulated information, on Monday, around 150 laid-off employees from the BerAli Mangistau service company gathered near the Ministry of Energy building in Astana, demanding to be placed in the KazMunaiGas subsidiary, OzenMunaiGas. They explained that they had been left jobless due to their company's loss in a competition.
