VIDEO: At this moment, there are no guarantees that actions will not resume, says ruling party MP
During a press briefing, MP Armen Khachatryan from the ruling Civil Contract party stated that there are currently no guarantees that actions will not resume.
“At any moment, an escalation of the processes could begin. Azerbaijanis have reached Armenian positions near the village of Tegh by car and demanded to stop engineering works. Armenian soldiers responded, and as a result, hostilities began. Yesterday, the Armenian army clearly fulfilled its assigned task. Unfortunately, our servicemen lost their lives, but the army brilliantly accomplished its mission.
Negotiations are ongoing there every day, sometimes very tough. They are trying to disrupt our engineering works in every possible way. Significant engineering work has been carried out on a large scale there, and of course, the Azerbaijanis do not like that,” the ruling faction MP said.
According to Khachatryan, there has been no mediation to stop military operations; they have been halted as a result of negotiations between the respective representatives of Armenia and Azerbaijan. For more details, watch the video.
