OSCE Chairman on Recent Incident at Armenia-Azerbaijan Border
The Chairman of the OSCE and the Minister of Foreign Affairs of North Macedonia, Bujar Osmani, emphasized the necessity of continuing direct communications between Armenia and Azerbaijan.
“I have information regarding the incident that occurred at the Armenia-Azerbaijan border. The OSCE can offer its resources to facilitate contacts between the parties and prevent such incidents,” Osmani stated at a press conference held in Baku, according to Azerbaijani media reports. He noted that peace is crucial for both sides.
“As the OSCE Chairman, I support initiatives aimed at ensuring peace,” he added.
It is noteworthy that Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev received Bujar Osmani, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of North Macedonia and current OSCE Chairman. President Aliyev characterized the recent incident at the Armenian-Azerbaijani border as a “deliberate provocation by Yerevan.”
