Video: Man Stabs Mosque Leader During Morning Prayer

A video has surfaced online showing a man attacking the spiritual leader of a mosque (imam) with a knife during morning prayers at a mosque in the United States.

The incident occurred on April 8 at one of the mosques in New Jersey. The man lunged at the imam and delivered several knife strikes to his back. Abdul Hamden, a representative of the mosque, added that congregants rushed to the man's side and restrained him until the police arrived.

The New Jersey Prosecutor's Office has reported that the individual accused of stabbing the imam in Paterson has been arrested. Further details surrounding the incident are being investigated.
