Who is the Author of the Secret Document Leak: Various Options Being Considered

Social media reports of leaked US secret documents may potentially be forged, two sources from Joe Biden's administration informed Reuters. They believe this could be an attempt by someone to mislead investigators.

According to the agency, officials believe that none of their allies could be the source of the leak, as the documents cover a wide range of topics from Ukraine and China to the Middle East and China. Former Pentagon official Michael Malroy stated that the possibility of information being disclosed by someone within the US is currently under investigation.

One of the agency's sources mentioned that investigators are considering four or five possible motives for the leak, ranging from employee dissatisfaction to attempts to undermine US national security interests. It is also possible that pro-Russian elements are behind the leak.

American media reported last week that more than a hundred secret documents had been discovered on social media. Some of these pertain to military assistance provided to Ukraine by the US and its allies, as well as preparations for a counteroffensive in Kyiv. Others contain information regarding the Middle East and China, as well as the oversight of partners. The incident is being referred to as the largest leak of secrets since Edward Snowden.
