How the Passage of Azerbaijanis Was Not Recorded by Responsible Authorities: Abrahamyan

Member of the National Assembly’s "Pativ Unem" faction Tigran Abrahamyan writes on his Facebook page: “Under yet unknown circumstances, one Azerbaijani soldier who crossed the state border from Nakhchivan was caught in the village of Ashotavan in the Sisian community. Earlier, they had been recorded in another village of the community, Bununis.

It is noteworthy that, according to available reports, the Azerbaijani was first spotted not by representatives of the responsible authorities, but by local residents. It is significant that this village, Ashotavan, is located approximately 19-20 km in a straight line from the border with Nakhchivan, and it is certainly greater by road; Bununis is about 15-16 km away.

How the passage of Azerbaijanis was not recorded in the border area is just part of the issue; how it was not recorded by other bodies responsible for the country’s internal security, given that they penetrated 19-20 km deep, is a completely different problem.

The full details of the incident remain unclear due to the limited information provided by state structures, and several elements are still missing for a comprehensive assessment. Currently, the main information is being obtained from various unofficial sources that require further filtering and clarification.”
