Turkey's First Observation Satellite Set to Launch into Space: Erdogan

Turkey's first observation satellite will be launched into space on April 11. This announcement was made by Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan on his Twitter page.

“IMECE is our first observation satellite, developed with domestic and national capabilities, and it will be launched into space on April 11. Turkey will continue to participate in the global space race by leveraging trained personnel and technologies of its own development,” he stated.

Earlier, Erdogan had indicated that following the satellite's launch, the number of Turkish satellites in space would reach ten.
