Forest Ranger Brutally Beaten in Azerbaijan for Opposing Tree Felling

Azerbaijani opposition sources report that employees of the Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources assaulted forest ranger Shahin Gafarov on the 118th day of a fake eco-activist "protest" for opposing illegal logging in the forests.

Gafarov, a resident of Guba, stated that he was beaten by ministry employees Taleh Abduallayev and Azad Heydarov for speaking out against the illegal tree felling in the forests of Guba. The ministry has officially confirmed this fact.
