VIDEO: Israel Strikes Gaza and Southern Lebanon

Israeli military forces have resumed strikes towards the Gaza Strip. This information was reported by RIA Novosti, citing the Israel Defense Forces (IDF).

The announcement of strikes on the Gaza Strip follows the military's statement that Israeli forces are also targeting southern Lebanon.

The Defense Forces announced that airstrikes on the Gaza Strip are in response to rocket fire from Hamas. "Some time ago, IDF fighter jets struck additional targets of the Hamas terrorist organization in the Gaza Strip, including a subterranean complex for weapon production, three additional weapon production facilities, and a terrorist tunnel," military officials stated.

Yesterday, Israeli media reported that dozens of rockets had been launched from Lebanese territory, aimed at border towns and cities in northern and western Galilee in northern Israel. According to the IDF's press service, 34 rockets were fired towards Israeli territory from Lebanon, of which 25 were intercepted by the air defense system. The Israeli army stated that the shelling from Lebanese territory was carried out by groups affiliated with the Hamas Palestinian movement.

Israeli Defense Minister Yoav Gallant had previously instructed the country's military leadership to prepare for any possible response measures. Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu stated on Thursday evening that the enemies of the Jewish state will pay for every act of aggression against Israel, adding that internal disagreements would not hinder this.
