Tussle Between Armenian and Azerbaijani Soldiers: Our Forces Outnumbered but Triumphed in Hand-to-Hand Combat
A hand-to-hand combat occurred between Azerbaijani infiltrators in the village of Tegh and Armenian soldiers. This is reported by the newspaper "Hraparak."
One of the residents of Tegh recounted the reason for the brawl: after occupying the pastures of Tegh, the Azerbaijanis began to carry out fortification works and erect posts, planting Azerbaijani flags on them, which the Armenian defenders responded to in kind. The Azerbaijanis told our soldiers that they did not want to see the Armenian flag up close, and ordered them to fire from several dozen meters away inside Armenian territory. However, our troops did not retreat, which led to the scuffle; despite being significantly outnumbered, our forces emerged victorious in the hand-to-hand combat.
