Israel Prepared for Any Response Following Rocket Attacks from Lebanon: Israeli Defense Minister
Israeli Defense Minister Yoav Gallant has ordered preparations for any possible response following rocket attacks from Lebanon, according to The Times of Israel.
Gallant held a meeting with senior representatives of the Israeli defense establishment to assess the situation. At the end of the meeting, the minister instructed the defense department to develop all response options before discussing the situation at the evening meeting of the security cabinet.
Earlier, Israeli media reported that Israel's northern region was subjected to rocket fire from Lebanon. The Israel Defense Forces stated that at least 34 rockets were fired towards the country, with 25 of them intercepted by air defense systems, while five fell within Israeli territory.
According to the Israeli Defense Forces, the rocket fire was attributed to Palestinian groups affiliated with Hamas.
