Erdogan: Israeli Forces' Attack on Al-Aqsa Mosque is a Red Line for Turkey
I condemn the dastardly acts against the first Qibla of Muslims and call for an immediate cessation of the attacks. It is clear that the wave of violence instigated by the Israeli administration, despite all warnings, is a result of internal issues. This is termed a policy of oppression. This was stated by Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan.
According to local media reports, Erdogan stated, "The attack by Israeli forces on the Al-Aqsa Mosque is a red line for Turkey. Turkey will not remain silent and inactive in the face of these attacks."
Earlier reports indicated that nearly 100 Palestinians were injured during clashes with Israeli security forces at the Al-Aqsa Mosque in Jerusalem. Riyad al-Ashqar, a representative of the Committee of Palestinian Prisoners, informed reporters that Israel had arrested over 200 Palestinians during the raid in Al-Aqsa. Israeli actions have already been condemned by Jordan and Egypt.
