VIDEO: Macron Officially Visits China
The President of France, Emmanuel Macron, has arrived in Beijing for an official state visit today, according to Chinese media. His plane landed at the Shoudu International Airport.
Macron's visit will last from April 5 to April 8, during which he will travel to Beijing and the southern city of Guangzhou in China's Guangdong province.
This marks Macron's third official visit to China during his presidency. He is accompanied by representatives from several major companies, including Airbus, EDF Energy, and Alstom.
Earlier, the spokesperson for China’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Mao Ning, stated that President Xi Jinping and Macron will discuss enhancing cooperation between China and France, as well as between China and the EU in various fields. The two leaders will exchange views on key international and regional issues.
The discussions between the leaders of France and China are expected to last a total of six to seven hours, according to the Élysée Palace.
