Taliban Ban Afghan Women from Working at the UN
Representatives of the Taliban in Afghanistan have announced that women are prohibited from working at the United Nations. This was reported by golosameriki.com.
The UN, commenting on the group's recent decision to restrict women's rights and their freedom of movement in Afghanistan, noted, "Such restrictions are unacceptable for UN Secretary-General António Guterres and, frankly, unimaginable," said UN spokesperson Stéphane Dujarric to reporters.
The UN had previously expressed concern regarding the potential implementation of such a ban.
