Bride Repeatedly Strikes Mother-in-law on Head and Face with Metal Spoon, Leading to Her Death

On April 2, the police of the Tavush region received a report from the "Dilijan" medical center about an emergency team being dispatched to an apartment on Shamakhyan Street in the city of Dilijan. However, before the ambulance arrived, 62-year-old Varsenik M. had suddenly passed away.

According to the operational-investigative group that arrived at the scene, the deceased's son reported that his mother had unexpectedly died around 15:30 in his presence. An external examination revealed bruises on the woman’s face, and the son mentioned that his mother had fallen at home on March 31.

It was discovered that the 40-year-old wife of the deceased's son had repeatedly struck her mother-in-law on the head and face with a metal spoon. As a result of the injuries sustained, the 62-year-old woman died.

The 40-year-old woman has been arrested and presented to the Dilijan investigative department.
