Video: Cheaper Seedlings to be Brought from Italy to Yerevan, Begoyan

The head of the "Greening and Environmental Protection" municipal organization, Armen Begoyan, has announced that their nursery's open ground has reached 10 hectares. According to him, there is an issue with irrigation water: "So far, open irrigation has been conducted through channels. We plan to bring in irrigation water."

Speaking about greenhouse farming, Begoyan stated that they will expand it by approximately 3000 square meters. "This will allow the quantities of seedling materials, shrubs, and flowers grown by citizens to increase by more than 50%."

Regarding the volumes, Begoyan noted, "We can raise the volume of the nursery products we grow and supply by 60-70%. We can produce 300-400 thousand flowers and about the same amount of various types of shrubs and plants."

On the topic of growing trees, he mentioned, "We are planning to bring in younger and cheaper seedlings from Italy, then grow them here until they reach 10 years of age and transplant them to the city's streets and avenues. Therefore, we will need a few years before our products are ready."
