Number of injured in St. Petersburg cafe explosion reaches 30
The number of people injured in the explosion at a cafe in St. Petersburg has reached 30, the press service of the Russian Ministry of Health reported to journalists on Sunday.
“Twenty-four injured individuals have been transferred to medical facilities in St. Petersburg, while another six went to seek medical assistance independently some time after the incident,” the statement said.
The press service clarified that the condition of six of the injured is assessed as serious. The other 24 injured, including one teenager, are in moderate to light condition.
The press service of the city health committee reported that a girl injured in the explosion has undergone surgery and her life is not in danger. “Her condition is moderate, she is not in danger, a surgery to remove shrapnel has been performed,” the source added.
