Teacher Injures 10-Year-Old Girl in Vardenis Car Accident

Today, a car accident occurred in the Gegharkunik region. Around 15:40, the Vardenis Medical Center reported to the Vardenis division of the Republic of Armenia’s Police that a child had been transferred to them with injuries including "damage to the upper jaw's 1st, 2nd, and 3rd incisor teeth, facial bruising, and a concussion with questions." This was reported by Shamshyan.com.

The police later established that the victim is a 10-year-old girl named Maria K., resident of the Gegharkunik region. While the doctors were providing necessary medical assistance to the child, the police officers from the Vardenis division, along with the patrol officers of the Gegharkunik regiment of the RA Ministry of Internal Affairs, clarified that on the same day, around 15:30, a 38-year-old local resident named Gegham H. had struck Maria K. with his VAZ 2107 vehicle on Shahumyan Street in Vardenis.

The vehicle has been moved to the protected area of the Vardenis division of the police. A criminal case has been initiated at the Vardenis investigative department of the Gegharkunik regional investigative administration of the Investigative Committee of Armenia regarding the accident. According to reports, Gegham H. works as a history teacher at a secondary school in one of the villages of the Gegharkunik region.
