Negotiations to Take Place Tomorrow Between Foreign Ministers of Russia, Turkey, Syria, and Iran

On Monday, April 3, negotiations will be held between the deputy foreign ministers of Russia, Turkey, Syria, and Iran. All delegations have already arrived in Moscow to prepare for the subsequent meeting at the ministerial level, TASS reports.

“Tomorrow, consultations will take place regarding the preparation for the meeting of foreign ministers. All delegations have already arrived in Moscow,” said the source.

Earlier, Iranian Foreign Minister Hossein Amir Abdollahian noted after talks with Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov in Moscow that the main goal of the meeting would be to “bring the positions of Turkey and Syria closer together.”

For his part, Mikhail Bogdanov, the Russian Deputy Foreign Minister and special representative of the President for the Middle East and Africa, expressed hope that this “mediating mission aimed at a very important strategic objective—normalizing Syrian-Turkish relations—would conclude successfully.”
