Dangerous Statement on Azerbaijani Deployments in Korrnidzor-Tegh Villages Made by NSS: Abrahamyan
The National Security Service (NSS) has made a dangerous statement regarding the situation in Syunik, particularly concerning Azerbaijani deployments in the direction of the Korrnidzor-Tegh villages. This was reported by Tigran Abrahamyan, the secretary of the Parliamentary 'I Have Honor' faction, on his Facebook page.
“Firstly, the NSS has recorded that Azerbaijan has come and positioned itself in the Armenian section of the border at five points, 100-300 meters deep. Secondly, the NSS indicates that ‘in certain areas, the Azerbaijani side, without waiting for previously agreed clarifications, has begun to position itself and carry out engineering work’,” he stated.
“Where was the government with its law enforcement bodies and intelligence systems while Azerbaijan was advancing and positioning itself? What level of irresponsibility is this when they say, ‘Azerbaijan, without waiting for previously agreed clarifications’… Azerbaijan is not fulfilling its obligations as per the documents, yet they are relying on verbal agreements. As a result, Armenia is once again suffering territorial losses, while Azerbaijan is positioning itself in areas favorable to them.
The NSS also noted that ‘the Armenian side is approaching the situation with the logic of not allowing escalation,’ but the consequences of this principle were seen by the Armenian people after the 44-day war: attacks against the Republic of Armenia, huge territorial and human losses.
In the context of political decisions or their absence, Armenia has experienced territorial and positional losses, which would normally lead to legal processes in normal countries, and those in high-ranking positions would lose their jobs.”
