Ukrainian Armed Forces' Upcoming Offensive Should Not Be Viewed as a 'Decisive Battle': Kuleba
The Minister of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine, Dmytro Kuleba, has urged that the upcoming offensive of the Ukrainian Armed Forces should not be perceived as a 'decisive battle' of the war. He made this statement in an interview with the Financial Times.
According to him, the narrative of a 'decisive moment' is dangerous for Ukraine.
“We must resist the perception of the counteroffensive as a decisive battle; if it is seen as such but does not lead to the complete liberation of our territory, then some may argue that alternative scenarios need to be considered. There is no alternative for us,” the Minister said.
Kuleba also mentioned that a minority of voices in Western governments could start calling for a slowdown in military assistance and demands for a ceasefire.
