Lavrov to Visit Turkey on April 6-7
The Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov will visit Turkey from April 6-7 at the invitation of his Turkish counterpart Mevlüt Çavuşoğlu. This announcement was made by the official representative of the Russian Foreign Ministry, Maria Zakharova, during a briefing.
During the meetings, a wide range of issues is expected to be discussed, primarily focusing on bilateral cooperation and future prospects in areas of mutual interest, including trade, energy, and tourism.
“There will be a detailed exchange of views on current issues of the regional and international agenda, including the situation regarding Ukraine, the Syrian conflict, and the resolution of the Nagorno-Karabakh issue, as well as the ongoing situation in Central Asia and Afghanistan,” stated Zakharova.
She also noted that the ministers plan to develop a timeline for bilateral communications at various levels.
