What Tree Species Will Replace the Cut Trees in Kanaker-Zeytun

In the Kanaker-Zeytun administrative district of Yerevan, the trees that are nearing the end of their vitality and are deformed will be replaced. This was announced by the press service of the "Greening and Environmental Protection" SNCO.

"Primarily the tree species of plane trees will be replaced with common horse chestnut, pavia horse chestnut, and eastern elite pine species, which are not of garden varieties. Along Uluntsu street, at the intersection with Aharonyan and Nersisyan streets, on March 30 and 31, the plane trees will be replaced with common horse chestnut and pavia horse chestnut species," the statement said.

It should be noted that the Yerevan municipality began cutting down trees on March 23, starting from the area adjacent to the Cascade complex, where sakura trees have already been planted.
