Video: A Ship Carrying 1400 Tons of Toxic Methanol Has Capsized in the U.S.
A ship that was not secured partially capsized in Kentucky, USA, while carrying approximately 1400 tons of methanol, reports ABC News.
The material is toxic, prompting authorities to close the Ohio River dam's spillway to prevent leakage, according to REN TV. No one was injured in the incident; however, it is noted that the accumulation of methanol vapors in confined spaces could be explosive.
