Russian Base Special Forces Conduct Exercises in Armenia

The special forces unit of the Southern Military District stationed in Armenia has participated in a joint exercise at a high-altitude training ground. This information was reported by the press service of the Southern Military District.

It was noted that the servicemen developed reconnaissance and search operations in high mountainous conditions and methods for organizing concealment in various mountain terrain scenarios, preparing types of camouflage using available means. They also honed their skills in navigation using maps and moving based on azimuth, as well as studied methods of covert movement in the terrain.

Additionally, the special forces conducted rapid firing exercises with standard weapons at various types of targets from different distances and positions. The servicemen of the Southern Military District acquired survival and safe conduct skills in mountainous terrain under conditions of oxygen deprivation, temperature fluctuations, and atmospheric pressure variations.
