Azerbaijan Fires at Citizens Carrying Out Pruning Works in Machkalashen Vineyards
The Ministry of Internal Affairs of Artsakh reports: “The Ministry of Defense of Azerbaijan continues to spread disinformation claiming that the Armenian side is using the Stepanakert-Ghaibalishen-Lisagor road to transport military supplies. By promoting this thesis, the Azerbaijani side misleads the international community, preparing the ground for yet another provocation against the peaceful population of Artsakh.
The Ministry of Internal Affairs emphasizes once again that civilian movement and the transfer of humanitarian cargo are being carried out along forest and mountain roads bypassing Shushi, under the escort of Russian peacekeepers. Considering the geographical location of this road, traffic is organized using large and high vehicles, which the Azerbaijani side presents as vehicles carrying military supplies.
While Azerbaijan accuses the Armenian side of transporting weapons and ammunition under a false light, yesterday, on March 23, and today morning, various types and calibers of weaponry were targeted and fired from Azerbaijani combat positions toward a group of citizens carrying out pruning work in the vineyards of the Machkalashen community in the Martuni region. There were no casualties. Agricultural work has been suspended.”
