Mercedes-Benz Leaves Road and Collides with Advertising Billboard: One Fatality

On March 27, at 06:22, the Armavir Regional Crisis Management Center received a report that an accident had occurred near the village of Zvartnots, and that a citizen was trapped, requiring the assistance of rescuers.

Two emergency response teams from the Ministry of Emergency Situations' fire and rescue units in Yerevan and the regional departments were dispatched to the scene.

It was determined that at the 14th kilometer of the Ejmiatsin-Yerevan highway, a Mercedes-Benz E350 vehicle had veered off the roadway and collided with an advertising billboard.

Rescuers disconnected the vehicle's electrical system, shut off the gas cylinder valve, and extricated the driver, who was then taken to an ambulance. Unfortunately, the driver was pronounced dead upon arrival at the Ejmiatsin Medical Center.
