ZAHA Amphibious Armored Vehicles Now in Turkey's Armed Forces
The first batch of ZAHA armored amphibious assault vehicles has been handed over to the Turkish Armed Forces. This information was reported by RIA Novosti, referencing Anadolu Agency.
The ZAHA amphibious armored vehicle was first showcased abroad at the Indo Defense Expo & Forum in Indonesia in November 2022.
“ZAHA tracked amphibious armored vehicles are designed to meet the needs of naval infantry. The project plans to produce 27 armored amphibious vehicles, of which 23 will be intended for personnel transport, two will serve as command posts, and two for medical needs. Turkish amphibious armored vehicles surpass foreign counterparts in terms of personnel capacity, ballistic and anti-mine protection, and effectiveness in performing tasks on both water and land,” Anadolu reports.
It is reported that the ZAHA vehicles can ensure safe deployment of personnel in naval infantry operational zones, as well as serve as combat armored vehicles after the deployment of naval infantry.
