Azerbaijani Armed Forces Achieve Tactical Advancements in the Territory of the Republic of Artsakh

Azerbaijani armed forces have once again violated the commitments stipulated in the trilateral statement of November 9, 2020, by breaching the contact line established by the same document in the Shushi-Lisagor section on March 25 and achieving certain tactical advancements in the territory of the Republic of Artsakh. This information has been reported by the Artsakh Information Headquarters.

The authorities of the Republic of Artsakh have immediately informed the command of the Russian peacekeeping forces about this flagrant violation of the provisions of the trilateral statement, taking into account the mission and functions assigned to them by that document. The authorities expect practical measures from the peacekeeping forces aimed at eliminating the consequences of this violation and preventing further violations.

The Azerbaijani side’s false claim that the Stepanakert-Ghaibalishen-Lisagor mountain road is being used to transport ammunition is merely a pretext for their latest aggressive and destructive actions. With the same allegation, they attacked and killed three police officers fulfilling their official duties on March 5 and wounded another.

The authorities of Artsakh have repeatedly stated that under the conditions of the blockade that began on December 12, the mountain road is used to organize civil and urgent communication between four communities in the regions of Stepanakert and Shushi, which is carried out by heavy vehicles, considering the extremely complex and dangerous terrain.

Moreover, the existence and normal functioning of the Defense Army poses no danger to anyone, as it is intended exclusively for self-defense, taking into account the real and immediate threats to the physical existence and security of the people of Artsakh.
