Erdogan and Putin Have Held a Phone Conversation

Erdogan and Putin discussed the situation in Ukraine over the phone, according to the Turkish president's office, as reported by TASS.

The Turkish leader expressed gratitude to the Russian president for his positive stance on extending the grain deal.

He noted that Turkey attaches great importance to the prompt resolution of the conflict between Russia and Ukraine through negotiations.

Erdogan is confident that Turkey and Russia can take new steps based on the economic cooperation agreed upon in Sochi.
