VIDEO: 'I am not occupying the position of Minister of Foreign Affairs, I am holding it' - Disagreement between Mirzoyan and Krpeyan
During a meeting of the National Assembly's Committee on Foreign Relations, Aspraham Krpeyan, a member of the 'Armenia' faction, stated that during a question-and-answer session with the government on March 22 in the National Assembly, an official occupying the position of Minister of Foreign Affairs declared that amid such acute rhetoric and threats, it must be noted that there is a danger of new aggression against both Armenia and Artsakh, with specific concerns over ethnic cleansing and genocide in the case of Artsakh.
“On the same day, the leader of the criminal group that has occupied power in Armenia announced in writing that there would be no new escalation. My question is, which one of you is lying? The people are expecting a clear answer,” he said.
In response, Minister of Foreign Affairs Ararat Mirzoyan stated, “I am not occupying the position of Minister of Foreign Affairs, I am holding it. Your political force seems to have a problem with political perception. I remember well that during the years when you were in power, your Minister of Foreign Affairs was trying to say that one could even occupy a restroom; that's how the territories around Artsakh were occupied. When speaking with me, please be attentive to those terms. That's all.”
