EU to Help Ukraine Defeat Russia
French President Emmanuel Macron has announced that the leaders of EU member states confirmed during a conversation with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky that they will assist the country in defeating "Russian aggression." This was stated by Macron at a press conference following the EU Council meeting in Brussels, as reported by РИА Новости.
"After listening to Zelensky via video link, we reiterated our support to thwart Russian aggression," said Macron. The French president added that Ukraine's allies will continue to assist it at political, economic, military, and humanitarian levels as needed.
Previously, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky mentioned in his video address that the decision-making process for necessary actions in his country is being delayed. In particular, he stated that the supply of long-range missiles and modern Western aircraft to Ukraine is being postponed, and he also noted the delays in imposing new sanctions against Russia and organizing a 'peace formula summit.'
