Almost every day, something unusual appears on the internet, and this is no exception. This time, users are captivated by information about a new species resembling a cat, one that no one has ever heard of.

This photo has gained widespread popularity across all social media platforms. Users claim it to be a picture of the Serpens cattus or Viperae Felis (cat-shaped snake), said to be one of the rarest on Earth.

Reports suggest that these creatures inhabit remote areas of the Amazon's waters. They are located in such inaccessible places that the likelihood of encountering them is low; however, it’s noted that the first photo was taken only in 2023.

Credulous users were searching on Google for "cat-shaped snake for sale," but it turned out to be a hoax. The image was created using neural networks, and the description was concocted by regular jokers. Biologists have confirmed this and added that a photo of a mangrove snake was used to create this illustration.

There are numerous cat breeds in the world that could mesmerize anyone with their appearance.
