VIDEO: The Strongest Tornado Causes Severe Damage in California
The U.S. National Weather Service has labeled this as the "strongest tornado" since 1983. In the industrial area of Montebello, it ripped off the roofs of commercial buildings and lifted debris into the air.
The weather service reported that the EF-1 tornado generated winds of up to 180 km/h and caused damage to 17 buildings, of which 11 were significantly affected.
