VIDEO: Lavrov Did Not Use the 'Mountainous' Term, It Felt Like Aliyev Was Speaking, Khachatryan

The text of the peace treaty will be structured in a way that does not undermine the interests of Armenia and its citizens. This was stated by Vigen Khachatryan, a member of the ruling Civil Contract faction, during a press conference with journalists.

In response to a journalist's remark that the opposition insists on changing the negotiator, Khachatryan noted, “They put forward that demand, Nikol Pashinyan resigned, and snap elections were announced, in which the people were to decide who was guilty in the war, who has no right to negotiate, and brought in a new government. The people decided that Serzh Sargsyan and Robert Kocharian should not negotiate; they rejected them and chose Nikol Pashinyan. The decision was made by the people. If they want snap elections, believing that the situation has changed, they can demand new snap elections again.”

Speaking about the opposition, Vigen Khachatryan mentioned that there is no need to give mutual assessments; instead, solutions should be proposed. “For instance, the opposition accused us of conducting a wrong policy with Russia. Now Russia has revealed its cards. During the meeting with Ararat Mirzoyan, Lavrov presented Russia's views on the future of Nagorno-Karabakh. By the way, Lavrov did not use the term 'Mountainous'; it felt as if Aliyev was speaking. Is the opposition's reaction to Lavrov's behavior now adequate?”
