The Only Path to Peace in the South Caucasus is Diplomacy, Blinken

The only path to peace in the South Caucasus is diplomacy. This was stated by U.S. Secretary of State Antony Blinken on his Twitter page.

“I spoke today with the Prime Minister of Armenia. I reaffirmed the U.S. commitment to helping Armenia and Azerbaijan achieve sustainable peace. The only way to peace in the South Caucasus is diplomacy,” he wrote.

It is worth noting that today U.S. Secretary of State Antony Blinken had a phone conversation with Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev. During the call, they discussed the ongoing blockade of the Lachin corridor, the only route connecting Artsakh to Armenia, which has been in place since December 12 of last year.
